Do You Have The Resilience To Thrive In The Future?

RLE

The diverse community of Resilient Leaders Consultants (RLCs) from both the public and private sector — including from the fields of education, defence, finance, HR and learning and development — came together in October 2024 for the annual RLE Conference, to reflect back on the past year and to look forward to the next one.

RLE Conference 2024

Resilient Leaders Elements was founded in 2000 by co-founders Rachel McGill and Dr. Jeremy Mead with a vision to make world class leadership development available for all. Now approaching its 25th anniversary, RLE’s reach and impact touches all corners of the globe, with thousands of leaders benefitting from their use of the Resilient Leaders Elements universal framework and the proprietary, online Resilient Leaders Development Programme (RLDP™).

Set against a context of an increasingly complex and uncertain world in need of resilient leadership now more than ever, members of the community shared valuable key learnings.

RLE Community Ambassadors Steven Garrod, Lisa Money, Jacqui Frost and Skye Deane  got the day underway with an interactive ‘Knowledge Café session that enabled as many people to get to know each other and reconnect as possible, while Chris Russell shared two stories that demonstrated the universality of the RLE™ framework and the RLDP™, from using the elements to guide his involvement with both a local volunteer enterprise and a global scientific collaboration.

Richard Greatorex and Sean Warren described the impact of the ‘RLE Transform’ programme that they ran. They referenced the innovative way they used the Uncertainty Spectrum in the RLDP™ Interactive Introduction with the team each time they met, to better understand the levels of pressure and stress amongst team members.

Alex Webb and Skye Deane described how they have collaborated and used the ‘Lead in ‘Uncertainty’ and ‘Regaining Your Mojo Programmes ‘to create their own branded programmes available to the general public, specifically focusing on women. The pair’s collaboration began in the Women as Resilient Leaders Community of Practice four years ago and they have now supported nearly 500 women leaders from across the globe on their programmes.

The afternoon’s session began with RLE’s Creative & Innovation Director, Nina Dannan and PR Lead Ben Veal sharing the plans for celebrating RLE’s 25th year and growing the reach of the purpose-driven community. Audrey Pantelis then facilitated a session on how to maintain an inclusive, safe and rewarding culture as the RLE Community grows; Audrey described how strong communities are based on meaningful connections and strong relationships.

Defence professional Chris Hillard presented a session describing the use of the RLDP™ as a mechanism for the provision of co-coaching and continuous leadership development, while Steven Garrod and Steve Dannan provided an incredible data review from the recently formed RLE Research Cafè from tens of thousands of Resilient Leaders Assessments.

A very special day of insight and celebration culminated in a presentation to RLE’s co-founder Dr Jeremy Mead to mark his retirement, with a signed ’25 in 2025’ poster awarded as a personal thank you from the community for his years of support to all.

After the Conference had drawn to a close, we received glowing feedback from those who were able to make it to Wiltshire this year:
